I started painting with Open acrylic paint in 2012 when I developed mild asthma, possibly worsened by mineral spirit fumes. Open acrylics take longer to dry then regular acrylics and thus respond more like oil paints, but tend to be more transparent and dry darker than oil paints. The coatings and varnish put on them after they have dried for weeks means they will last forever.
WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS
I started painting with watercolor in 2009 both as an under painting for colored pencil and by itself. The two paintings on the right were started en plein air, (outside on site).
